  : I didn't like much
  : The smoke alarm in the next room kept beeping even though I asked the front desk to fix it the day before. The bars of soap in the shower are the cheapest things I've ever seen and I needed to go and buy shampoo as well. The sink is about 3 feet off the ground and looks to be the size of a child's playset. For $170 a night this is a dump.

  : Booked room for 2 nights for$281!!! The room,upon entering was very cramped, had an odor to it, the furniture and linens were old and a bit dingy, clean but maybe just old and worn !?! On the second morning, I got a call from my family about a family emergency, so I tried to get a refund for the second night ( we were able to leave before checkout). The man at the desk tried to offer me "credit" for next time I was in town.. Haven't been to Monterey in 8 years, so that wasn't going to help. He then, asked me to call back in a few days and that he'd try and contact the owner. I don't feel confident that I will get any response, so overall... a very disappointing experience.. Will never revisit... P.S. The motel itself is right next door to a very seedy porn store!!! ICK!!!
